What is Thymulin

Serum Thymic Factor (FTS) is a zinc-dependent immunoregulatory peptide hormone produced by thymic epithelial cells. It plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in T cell differentiation and functional enhancement. Also known as thymic factor or thymulin, FTS is a non-peptide hormone whose biological activity requires the presence of zinc.

Thymulin Bioactivity and Functions

Immune Regulation: Serum thymic factor profoundly influences thymic function and extensively participates in regulating the body’s immune responses. It exhibits significant pituitary-stimulating activity, capable of stimulating the anterior pituitary to release multiple hormones, thereby regulating downstream endocrine activities.

Organism Protection: By effectively inhibiting ERK (extracellular signal-regulated kinase) activation, serum thymic factor significantly reduces the risk of nephrotoxicity in rats caused by improper use of antibiotics like Cephaloridine (HY-B2072).

Antidiabetic Potential: Serum thymic factor holds antidiabetic potential. It offers new hope for diabetes treatment by regulating insulin sensitivity and improving glucose metabolism.

Anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects: Serum thymosin’s anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities are equally noteworthy, demonstrating broad application potential in alleviating symptoms of inflammatory diseases and reducing pain.

Additionally, bidirectional interactions exist between FTS and the pituitary-hypothalamic axis; for instance, plasma FTS levels correlate positively with physiologically elevated ACTH levels. This interaction suggests FTS functions not only within the immune system but may also influence the neuroendocrine system.

Thymulin Dosage

Take 10mg daily for 10 consecutive days. For general immune modulation effects, the standard recommended regimen may be optimal. I’ve observed the most pronounced effects within the first 1-3 days post-administration (with diminishing returns after the initial dose). I now typically take it for 2-3 consecutive days followed by a break. For anti-aging purposes, I also recommend this approach. You may try taking 10 mg once or twice weekly. You could even stagger the dosing times.

Thymulin Side Effects

Mild redness or discomfort at the injection site (subcutaneous or intramuscular)

Slight fatigue during the initial days (immune system readjustment)

Rare nausea or headaches, typically associated with improper injection technique or dehydration.
