What is Tesamorelin and How Does It Work

Tesamorelin is a medication that works by inducing the release of endogenous growth hormone (GH), stimulating GH secretion and increasing serum insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) levels. Its primary application is in treating abdominal fat accumulation in HIV-infected individuals. In fact, medications used by HIV patients are often safer, as their compromised immune systems require more carefully regulated drugs than the general population.
