What is Oxytocin

Oxytocin is a hormone secreted by the posterior lobe of the human pituitary gland. It gained its name after being discovered to reduce anxiety and enhance interpersonal trust. Initially confirmed for its physiological functions in promoting uterine contractions during childbirth and milk secretion during lactation, subsequent research gradually revealed its regulatory role in emotions and social behavior.

Scientific studies further indicate that oxytocin can reduce anxiety and fear while increasing feelings of contentment, security, and trust in partners, earning it the nickname “trust hormone.” Oxytocin regulates the autonomic nervous system and modulates activity in other brain regions governing emotions and social behavior, relaxing the nervous system to release stress. Oxytocin Dosage

Subcutaneous injections of 25-100 micrograms appear to yield noticeable effects. It is recommended to start with 25 micrograms, observe your response, and determine the appropriate dosage for you. Usage Cycle: Use as needed (1 to 3 times per week).

Oxytocin Side Effects
