What is Epitalon
Epitalon is a short peptide consisting of only 4 amino acids. It is a small fragment of a larger natural protein called suprachiasmatic protein, which regulates pineal gland function. Your pineal gland is only rice-grain sized, yet it exerts a powerful influence on our physiological functions. The pineal gland is one of several sources of melatonin in our bodies, but it plays a crucial role in regulating our circadian rhythms and sleep patterns. The pineal gland may also help regulate female hormone levels, stabilize mood, and support cardiovascular health and immune function. Melatonin is a potent antioxidant, antihistamine, and may even inhibit cancer growth. Epitalon plays a vital role in regulating the pineal gland, retina, and brain.
Epitalon Benefits
Anti-Aging Effects:
Epitalon’s primary mechanism involves extending telomere length at chromosome ends by upregulating telomerase activity, thereby slowing cellular aging. Telomeres are protective structures at chromosome tips whose shortening correlates with cellular aging and various age-related diseases. Thus, Epitalon holds significant anti-aging potential. In experiments, Epitalon extended the lifespan of mice and fruit flies while restoring the circadian rhythms of melatonin and cortisol.
Anti-tumor Effects:
Epitalon significantly inhibits the development of spontaneous tumors in mice, potentially offering new avenues for cancer treatment.
Reproductive Function Improvement:
Epitalon enhances reproductive function in aged rats by elevating testosterone levels in male rats and restoring estrous cycles in female rats.
Retinal Function Protection:
Epitalon safeguards the functional integrity of rat retinas and improves visual function in patients with pigmentary retinopathy.
Epitalon Dosage
Typical Range: 5–10 mg daily. Duration: 10–20 consecutive days. Frequency: Cycles typically repeated every 6–12 months.
Epitalon Side Effects
Epitalon is generally well-tolerated, with most studies reporting minimal adverse reactions. Some users may experience redness, itching, or irritation at the injection site. Initial sleep patterns may be slightly disrupted.
