What is PT-141
PT-141 (Bremerlandan) is a synthetic cyclic peptide that acts as a melanocortin receptor agonist. By activating receptors such as MC1R and MC4R in the brain, PT-141 promotes the release of neurotransmitters like dopamine and oxytocin, thereby regulating sexual desire and response. It is clinically used to treat Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD) in premenopausal women and has received FDA approval.
Benefits of PT-141
Women report enhanced sexual satisfaction and responsiveness, not merely increased frequency of intercourse. For men, PT-141 not only enhances physiological arousal and erection quality but also boosts mental arousal and confidence. PT-141 can improve intimacy with partners, reduce sexual anxiety, elevate mood, and enhance overall sexual experience quality.
PT 141 Dosage
250 mcg to 2 mg per dose. Start with a low dose to find your optimal dosage. Administer subcutaneously approximately 30-60 minutes before activity.
PT-141 Side Effects
PT-141 is generally considered safe.
Injection site reactions—Redness, itching, or irritation may occur at the injection site after subcutaneous administration.
Flushes and headaches—Caused by central nervous system activation and mild vascular changes.
Transient blood pressure changes—PT-141 may cause temporary blood pressure elevation and heart rate reduction; therefore, individuals with uncontrolled hypertension or cardiovascular disease should use with caution.
Skin pigmentation changes—Some users report darkening of skin or moles, which is related to PT-141’s origin—the melanocortin peptide derived from Melanotan II.
